The PeopleReady located at Bardstown Kentucky 40004 is currently hiring a Maintenance Technician Mechanic Job Description Support the manufacturing operations through applying proper preventive and general maintenance techniques to plant production and support equipment.. Note - Pay Rate for this Job is 25 Hour - 29 Hour Shift Timing - 1st Shift (Day) and Weekends Responsibilities Include Responsible for proper completion of scheduled maintenance activities associated with production and support equipment. Respond to and provide resolution of unplanned equipment failures downtime. Report maintenance performed on daily basis. Provide appropriate recommendations for replace refurbishment of components assemblies etc. Responsible for maintaining maintenance records histories relevant to tasks performed. Equipment histories shall encompass production equipment support equipment and spare parts utilization. Responsible to ensuring the safe operation of equipment and machinery within the facility. Effectively communnicate with machine operators in order to assist production personnel with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. Retrieve spare parts from local vendors on an as needed basis. Ensure correct and safe operation of company owned equipment and machinery. Utilize safety equipment such as safety glasses lockouts and earplugs. Work in a safe manner and adhere to lockout policies and plant safety related procedures. Effectively communicate all unplanned equipment failures to management. Submit and or initiate a proactive approach to prevent reoccurrence of failure. Report all equipment damage and or safety infractions to management. Respond to equipment breakdowns on off shifts and weekends as needed. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Technical trade school high school diploma or equivelant combination of education and work experience. Knowledge of electricial mechanics pneumatics hydraulics circuitry ac dc drives PLC experience Fabrication welding esperience 5 years mechanical industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Able to clearly read and understand machine prints and schematics Excellent written and oral communication skills Must have own tools Must have vehicle capable to retrieve equipment parts on an as needed basis. Good driving record Plastic extrusion related experience preferred NOTE More weight may be placed on one area of speciality over another at the time of hire dependent on the skills of others in the classification and needs of the company.
