Mechanical Technician Mechanic - Gearbox (2nd shift 11am 9pm M-Th) - Canton Ohio - JOB 22-00022 Salary Range 15.00 - 17.00 HR Permanent Position with Benefits. Canton Ohio machine shop is seeking to hire an experienced Mechanical Technician Mechanic maintain and repair gearboxes. REQUIREMENTSHigh school graduate or equivalent G.E.D. (trade school is a plus) 2nd shift 11am 9pm M-Th Skills and knowledge for dismantling repairing reassembling and testing gearboxes and electric motors Some travel (overtime weekends) necessary for field service work as needed. (Valid driver s license) Skills to read and understand engineering drawing specifications and tolerances gauges and measuring tools Good math skills with understanding of fractional size decimal equivalent ratios and diameter calculations. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a professional personality to interact with customers Education and experience to set-up and operate metal cutting equipment manual mills & lathes manual VTL (vertical turret lathe) and a VBM (vertical boring mill) band saws keway cutting keyseater bearing presses and pullers overhead cranes and fork trucks Must have own tools company will loan up to 1000 for tools with a 25 week payback program Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
