Shift Timing - 1st Shift (Day) Responsibilities Include You will bE Experience in general maintenance and repairs working around machinery and ability to handle tools. Practical knowledge of valves pipes and equipment and building maintenance. Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems plumbing and carpentry ability to read and interpret manuals related to equipment and systems. Performs general mechanical maintenance minor building repairs and keeps building clean and tidy. Daily Janitorial work such as cleaning bathrooms floors and other cleaning practices. As directed and in accordance with applicable codes and regulations performs a variety of routine maintenance servicing and repair operations to maintain home equipment furnishings fixtures and grounds in proper condition. Responsible for effectively scheduling and supervising maintenance and repair work. Observes and monitors all areas of the facility for ongoing maintenance requirements and carries out preventative maintenance programs as directed. Performs typical work such as replacing fuses and light bulbs repairing call bells clearing drains repairing beds chairs tables etc. painting and redecorating tasks replacing tiles and removing garbage. Following approval may refer problems requiring specialized work such as electrical or plumbing to outside contractors and monitors work performed. May provide general assistance to skilled tradespersons such as mechanics electricians carpenters plumbers painters etc. as required. Regular lifting of heavy objects including equipment. Qualifications Minimum three years high speed production experience preferred Familiarity with production machinery Able to read blueprints Possess strong computer and troubleshooting skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time Able to stoop bend and crouch and to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to read write and understand oral and written instructions and to maintain neat and accurate storage records. Ability to evaluate and determine when the services of skilled trades people are necessary. Skilled in the use of a wide range of tools. Ability to train direct and supervise others in absence of ESM.
