Engineering Department Manager - Building Envelopes Curtain Walls Cladding Scheduling Budgets - Akron OH - JOB 22-00321Salary Range Commensurate - Permanent Position with Benefits An engineering consulting firm specializing in building envelope engineering and curtainwall industry is seeking to hire an Engineering Department Manager.REQUIREMENTSBachelors of Science Civil Engineering (or Structural) or Masters of Civil Engineering (or Structural) An active Ohio PE license is required. If not must be able to obtain an Ohio PE license in a short period of time. Extensive experience in delegated design and engineering focused on curtainwall systems engineering. A demonstrated history of advancement positive feedback from peers direct reports. Familiar with monumental and custom design projects. Able to complete standard project systems with ease. Able to be the leader and manager of the engineering department serving and facilitating the staff and projects as well as client needs working on the defining architectural components facade curtain wall and cladding. You will be able to directly impact people via the built environment by creating safe serviceable structures and shaping urban suburban and building centers. This position is oriented toward staff & client management but strong technical skill and capability in facade systems should be second nature. In this position you will help to lead support advance and train staff as we grow and shape the department while creating value in the team and to our clients Support quoting proposals project scope and partner withDirector of Structural Practices. You will collaborate with our specialists teams and clients depending on the project type.
