Are you a person who thinks like a tester is a power user and who has experience building computers High Tech Genesis is looking for a QA Automation Developer to join our team Responsibilities Develop and maintain automated test cases Collaborate with manual testers and developers to identify test cases that are suitable for automation (cost benefit analysis complexity etc.) Manage timing and execution of automated regression runs Analyze the results of automated regression runs and address test failures by correcting automated test deficiencies and raising defects Automate tests to cover customer-found issues Track work in two-week sprints following the Kanban model Participate in sprint planning and grooming Work with controlled dedicated automation test environments including troubleshooting Identify defects and manage those defects through a bug tracking system (TFS) Partner with development teams to reproduce defect scenarios and identify root causes Work with other members of the test team to Participate in regression testing Prioritize areas for soak testing Give feedback on feature testing shortfalls Required skills and experience MUST qualify for Top Secret Security Clearance (Be a Canadian Citizen or PR with 3 years of living in Canada Verifiable 10-year history with no criminal record) Strong verbal communication in English Knowledgeable in the Software Quality Assurance or related field Hands-on experience writing automated tests Skilled in writing code Experience with test automation using Javascript Selenium and .NET TestComplete or similar COTS automation tools Experience working with distributed systems Experienced with scripting or programming Good problem-solving techniques Is passionate about software testing and quality Consistency and paying attention to detail is crucial Works independently can troubleshoot and investigate issues that arise Desired skillsWorking knowledge of Jenkins Experience with VMWare Kubernetes Helm Knowledge of the telecommunications industry particularly telephony and networking Note 1 You MUST be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e. possess Canadian Citizenship Permanent Residency or Valid Work Permit).Note 2 High Tech Genesis Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Note 3 In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) HTG will provide accommodation accessible formats and communication supports for the interview process upon request.Note 4 Please submit a MS Word version of your resume when applying for this position.Note 5 Salary will be commensurate with experience.
