Trading companies are excluded from the scheme as these companies work as an intermediary between the manufacturer and the consumer. Businesses Under MSME: Businesses that can operate under the MSMED Act 2006 are categorized as Manufacturing Enterprises or Service Enterprises, and the registration policy applies to both the Central and State governments. Manufacturing Enterprises: ? Engage in the manufacturing and production of goods ? Determined with relevance to investment in plant and machinery. Service Enterprises: ? Commit to delivering services ? Demarcated with relevance to investment in equipment Eligibility Criteria For MSME Scheme: As per the notification issued by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, which came into effect on 1st August 2020, to qualify for the MSME IPO scheme, industries have to meet the below eligibility criteria. Micro-Enterprise: ? Investment should not exceed Rs. 1 crore, and ? Turnover should not exceed Rs. 5 crores Small-Enterprise: ? Investment should not exceed Rs. 10 crores, and ? Turnover should not exceed Rs. 50 crores Medium-Enterprise: ? Investment should not exceed Rs. 50 crores, and ?
