Staff Selection Commission (SSC) holds an open competitive examination for recruitment of Junior Engineers (JEs) for various branches or streams of Engineering including Civil Electrical Mechanical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts for various Ministries Departments Organizations in the Government of India. The objective of this exam is to recruit candidates for multiple positions for Group B (Non-Gazetted) in Level- 6 (Rs 35400-112400 -) of the pay matrix of the 7th Central Pay Commission. The SSC JE 2022 Exam will be held in two stages. Paper 1 will be for 200 marks and paper 2 will be for 300 marks. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) are used in both paper 1 and paper 2. In both papers 0.25 points will be deducted for each question attempted incorrectly. Candidates applying for the positions of JE (Civil) JE (Quantity Surveying & Contract) shall attempt Part A (Civil & Structural) of papers I & II according to the most recent Exam Pattern. Candidates for JE (Electrical) must take Part B (Electrical) and JE (Mechanical) must take Part C (Mechanical) of Paper I and II respectively.
