The ability to sign up for jobs right from our mobile app JobStack Pay Rate The pay rate for this job is 17 Hour What you ll be doing as a Wire Technician Operate wire machines that pull and measure lengths of wire to customers requirements. Double check machine readings against printed sequential footage reading on the cable. Perform clean and safe wire cuts at the specified lengths. Properly install and crimp pulling heads to wire when needed. Inspect package and wrap finished goods to internally articulated standard of quality. Examine pulled wire for conformance to specifications and removes defective pieces. Follow established procedures of handling stock and stock discrepancies. Keep warehouse - including bins aisles machines and workspaces - clean and orderly. Observe safe forklift operations. Observe all company safety procedures and attend all mandatory safety meetings. Continue training on field application and use of wire and various electrical products. Perform other duties assigned Work mandatory overtime as needed While performing the duties of this position the employee is frequently required to lift or pull up to 30pounds sit communicate reach manipulate objects tools or controls climb ladders or onto trucks & forklifts and or operate wire cutting machinery. Available shifts Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day) Job requirements Strong attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment contributing to a high-performing team. Working knowledge of electrical parts and inventory. Experience working in the Electrical Distribution Industry or Construction Industry preferred. Experience working in Warehouse environment preferred. Drug screen required Background Check Required The position requires mobility manual dexterity andcoordination 50% of the time. This position requires employees to walk on concrete or other hard floorsurface stand continuously pull heavy items in warehouse or yard load and unload trucks from ground level or platform. There will be repetitive use of hands manual dexterity repetitive climbing continuous repetitive kneeling and reaching overhead above shoulder and below shoulder twisting and bending.
