Geese

We have a flock of nine geese that, when in a crowd, become very aggressive. (My wife refers to them as feathered thugs ) We are vegetarians, so we don t eat our birds or any other animals. They re kept as pets, free range, on our property. Because of the mob mentality that appears to come over them in a crowd, they attack other animals and we ve had some unfortunate losses as a result. In the past two months, they ve seriously injured two muscovy ducks, and this morning they killed one of our baby turkeys (who had just flown out of their enclosure as he tested his new flight feathers). I understand they can be more aggressive during mating season but, in these numbers, they re jerks year-round. As such, we re getting rid of this flock, (although we may keep one couple because they behave better in pairs than in a flock). In the next few days, I ll be selling most of them but only to people who intend to keep them as pets, or feathered security guards, or for eggs or breeding not for meat. I know how na?ve that sounds to some of you but we still don t want them to die for the crime of behaving like a flock of geese apparently behave. I d like to sell them in M/F couples and then there s also a M/F/F throuple to be rehomed (don t judge them, they re free-thinkers and it works for them). They re all relatively young (1-3 years old) and the females all lay eggs. We have: One Emden male (all white with blue eyes) and his partner is a mini White Sebastapol female. (also Blue eyed) One Toulouse male and a Toulouse female. One Pomeranian (enormous) male and an equally-hefty Pomeranian female. One Superafrican (quite large) Male and his Two Toulouse females. Pricing is $200/pair and $250/throuple. Please text if interested [email protected]
