NEW HIGHER SALARY 58 294 - 102 015 The Challenge We are a Senior Assistant Resident Engineer to join our Asheboro Resident Engineering team. In this role you will Manage staff responsible for stakeout and inspection of roads structures in contract highway construction including the supervision of Contract Construction Inspectors. Prepare monthly estimates final estimates and written verbal communication with contractors inspection personnel utility companies and public to ensure compliance with contract plans standards and specifications. What You BringExperience planning developing scheduling tracking and completing projects independently or with limited supervision. Customer service experience solving problems involving explaining engineering concepts to stakeholder groups. Experience making recommendations and decisions for simple or complex engineering projects. Project management experience leading of multiple projects and scheduling directing multiple work crews. Through knowledge of principles of civil engineering related to the design construction and maintenance of highway systems. Working knowledge of principles and practices of civil engineering and construction methods materials and equipment. Skilled in the operation of survey equipment computers and drafting instruments. Proficient at plan reading highway engineering calculations and survey instruments necessary to supervise the stake-out of line grade for roadways and structures. Excellent communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers contractor s personnel and the public. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision from the Resident Engineer. NotesYou will be working inside and outside in a wide range of environmental conditions. Safety toe shoes required. We may require registration as a professional engineer by the NC Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
