We do have an EMT IV Class too Approved by the CDPHE EMT IV COURSE COMING SOON This course is a total of 60 hours. The cost of this course is 275 and includes a self study student workbook. Approved by the State of Colorado as well as various other states. There are two e-books included as well Participants will receive hands on practice with our IV simulation manikins. In this course we will cover Competency and Scope of Practice Instructions for use Anatomy and Physiology Fluid and Electrolyte Balance Infection Control IV Tubing Line Setup IV Fluid Calculations IV Tubing Change Frequency Skin Care and infection control Peripheral IV Insertion Equipment Techniques in Venipuncture Troubleshooting IV Infusion IV assessment Discontinuing IV Therapy Documentation Complications of IV Therapy. Each student must successfully start 10 IVs as well as discontinue them and pass all skills competency testing before the certification is issued. All the labs will be completed in the classroom in our lab on the last day of class including 10 IV Sticks on high fidelity simulation manikins.
