The PeopleReady located at Grand Junction Colorado 81501 is currently hiring a PR 1329195 Driller Helper Job Description Driller Helper PeopleReady ofGrand Junction CO is now hiring Driller Helpers Wells are located in Western Colorado and the Western United States and out of town stay is required. Work shifts are typically 12 hours and scheduled as 10 dayson 4 days off resulting in 60-70 hours per week. Overtime travel out of town andovernight expenses paid by employer. Work Crews consist of a driller and 2-3driller helpers. Position is physically demanding and outdoors in all conditions. Apply today and you could start as soon as tomorrow. The ability to sign up for jobs right from our mobile app JobStack Pay Rate The pay rate for this job is 20 hour What you ll be doing as a Driller Helper Maintain drilling operations by observation and monitoring of equipment (gauges dials & other indicators) during the drilling process to ensure proper working order. Assembles and disassembles casings and pipe sections using hand and power wrenches and tongs. Tightens or loosens threaded joints between sections using tongs chain wrenches or cathead (winch). Guides lower end of pipe sections to or from well opening on rig floor. Guides upper end of pipe sections from working platform in rig derrick. Mixes drilling fluids using power agitators. Repairs drilling machinery pumps and automotive equipment. Assists in setup and dismantling of rig & equipment between wells. Digs drainage ditches racks tools and cleans drilling area around rig. Other duties as assigned. Available shifts Shift Timings - All Available Job requirements Valid Driver s License with clean driving record. Passage of pre-employment and random drug screens. Ability to pass DOT physical and obtain Commercial Driver s License Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally. Ability to work around heavy equipment. Ability to work from elevated platforms. Willingness to work and learn new tasks. Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
