As a PeopleReady associate we offer these great benefits Benefits package options Fast Weekly pay Set schedule The ability to see your work schedule right from our mobile app JobStack Pay Rate The pay rate for this job is 20 - 27 hour DOE What you ll be doing as a Welder III Responsible for producing metal components by setting up and operating welding machine maintaining quality and safety standards keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies. Performs necessary quality checks on product and completes daily communication. Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws. Understand and accurately report daily production quantities to meet set number of parts per hour. Available shifts Shift Timings 1st Shift (Day) 2nd Shift (Evening) Job requirements Advanced understanding of welding necessary to produce metal components. Must follow all safety policies and procedures including lockout Tag out. Ability to weld three of more different types (Mig Tig etc.) Set up components for welding according to specifications for given process. Ability to adjust welding machine. Ability to select correct welding process cell and machine. Consistent and accurate counts of materials and products. Ability to do daily maintenance on welding machine. Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment according to established procedures. Maintain a positive attitude with customers clients co-workers and management. May program new parts in robotic cell to completion. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift 50lbs on a consistent basis. Ability to stand up to 10 hours. Excellent hand eye coordination. Demonstrated ability to effectively use power tools. Good manual dexterity coordination and stamina. Ability to consistently wear PPE (personal protective equipment). Ability to work in production facility with fluctuating temperature and humidity levels. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or equivalent. 4 years welding experience. Ability to safely work in various conditions. Holds at least 3 welding certifications (1G-6G) or 3 different materials (ex steel aluminum stainless etc.) required. Working knowledge of welding with prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to understand and follow directions. Effective problem solving skills detailed oriented sense of urgency. Ability to read blueprints and use measurement devices such as calipers micrometers and fillet gauges. Ability to be forklift certified. Ability to follow hoist safety protocols. Self-motivated takes initiative pride in end product.
