And we were recently named as one of America s Most Loved Workplaces 2022 by Newsweek Job DescriptionIf you love being at the heart of the action interfacing with customer service and drivers to quickly and efficiently respond to customer needs this job may be the perfect fit for you.As Dispatcher you ll be using Descartes software to build and print daily routes for drivers in accordance with priorities set in coordination with Customer Service. You ll be front and center in providing the highest level of customer service by handling logistics and transportation for operations including Assist Customer Service with customer requests route changes rescheduling for pickups missed stops. Monitor and escalate CIC s to supervisor & assist walk-in customers Responsible for all logistics transportation Understand and review daily the Descartes routing system. Conduct daily debriefs for all drivers. Assist with routine handheld printer availability and operation. Build and print routes for drivers daily including but not limited to shipping documents route sheets barcode labels. Dispatch drivers for extra or missed pick-ups. Create load sheets Review drivers paperwork (VCR and logbook) and files paperwork. Review and update routes new customers based on daily communication reroute existing customers as required. Debrief drivers in accordance with written SOP s. Complete consolidated manifests for trailer shipments. Ensure that routes are balanced daily. Forward VCR (Vehicle Condition Report) reports to Transportation Supervisor Manager for maintenance requests. Assist drivers with issues as they arise during the day or at the end of the route. Prepare reviews and stamp all manifests. Assist Transportation Supervisor Manager as needed directed. Download PDTs from previous night. Handle 3rd party hauler paperwork. Track and input DOT hours JJ Keller. Monitor Company policies and procedures communicating to staff as necessary. Communicate performance standards and objectives. Monitor operations and work of all CSRs. Keep staff informed of current problems changes and new developments in the department and company by conducting professional organized and participative meetings. QualificationsOur qualified candidate will have A high school diploma or GED One or more years of experience as an Administrative Assistant Preferred qualifications include Two or more years of transportation logistics experience Experience developing routes using a routing software Descartes experience ideal Highly developed verbal and written communication skills in English Ability to work safely and carefully to prevent injury to self or others Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel Word Teams SharePoint Outlook and PowerPoint Ability to maintain a safe and compliant workplace Apply now s jobs.smartrecruiters.com HarscoCorporation1 743999887171556-dispatcher
