Strategic Sourcing Specialist - Akron Ohio - JOB 23-00140Salary Range 70k - 80k Permanent Position with Benefits. Akron area manufacturer is seeking to hire experienced Strategic Sourcing Specialist to source analyze and report supply chain data track costs and logistics evaluate supplier performance and oversee and improving the supply chain operations.REQUIREMENTSBachelor Degree in business related field MBA is a plus Develop and execute domestic and global sourcing strategy on cost quality lead-time services Assist in identifying and qualifying new supply sources ensuring appropriate due diligence Research and evaluate suppliers based on various criteria including price quality service support availability reliability capabilities capacities reputation and history Expand RFQ process to ensure relevant stakeholder technical and end-user reviews are incorporated and recorded in the review and decision-making process Develop and apply supplier scorecard methodology establishing a cadence for business reviews collaborate with Souring Team Collaboratively perform make buy analysis to help guide sound insourcing outsourcing decisions Manage complex commercial relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders Liaise with Project Management Engineering and Operations to support timely production of customer systems Develop risk mitigation strategies for critical supplier performance strategic safety stock levels redundant suppliers Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints for custom engineered components 3 years of relevant experience within a manufacturing environment Prior experience performing make buy decisions that shaped supply chain strategy and produced demonstrated customer service improvements Procurement experience with plant equipment machinery and capital expenditures in a low volume high mix environment Experience in project purchasing contract negotiation and execution and risk management.
