Two bodies

What do we spend eternity in this flesh body or something else All verses come from a KJV Bible. 1 Corinthians 15 44 It is sown a natural body it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body and there is a spiritual body. [We have two bodies a natural one and a spiritual one. See 2 Corinthians 5 1-8 when we die we are present with the Lord. The spiritual body is what one spends eternity in not their flesh natural body. What does the word raised mean in 1 Corinthians 15 44 Resurrection (a transition from flesh to spirit) is what I think it means]. Ecclesiastes 12 6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed or the golden bowl be broken or the pitcher be broken at the fountain or the wheel broken at the cistern. [Ecclesiastes is written to the man under the sun flesh man. This verse is saying when this flesh body dies for whatever the reason see next verse].Ecclesiastes 12 7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. [Our spirit returns to God who gave it and our flesh bodies return to the earth we are finished with them they have fulfilled their purposes in God s plan they go back to the dust dirt soil earth they are made of. Notice our spirit returns to God who gave it]. James 2 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead so faith without works is dead also. [When we die our flesh bodies are dead without a spirit. Our spirits go back to God who gave it see Ecclesiastes 12 7 again]. Hebrews 9 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die but after this the judgment [When this flesh body dies and it will our spirits go where God is and await His judgment. These are 2 appointments no one misses regardless of what they believe]. This is what I choose to believe There is no way these flesh bodies of ours will last for ever they get sick sometimes and they age and die eventually they are temporary only. We have a spiritual body that is what is meant to last an eternity not our flesh bodies. Our spirits souls and spiritual bodies are with God upon death of the flesh awaiting judgment (Hebrews 9 27). I have tried to connect the dots in my own mind (let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind Romans 14 5). Seen and unseen temporary and eternal 2 Kings 6 17 (KJV) And Elisha prayed and said LORD I pray thee open his eyes that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man and he saw and behold the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. (So much is unseen not understood until God opens your eyes). 2 Corinthians 4 18 (KJV) While we look not at the things which are seen but at the things which are not seen for the things which are seen are temporal but the things which are not seen are eternal. Things that are Temporary Seen Creation Human beings Flesh Terrestrial body Aging Incomplete Changing Mortal Finite Time bound Natural Earthly realm Our dimension. Things that are Eternal Unseen Creator Spiritual beings Spirit Celestial body Not aging Complete Changeless Immortal Infinite Timeless Supernatural Heavenly realm God s dimension. Compare them side by side word for word. See the obvious differences between the two. [Living with a temporary focus involves] A concern for status and possessions A desire to live a problem free life A longing for security that comes from earthly resources A focus on gaining experiences that supposedly lead to a full life.[Living with an eternal focus] Forsaking the things of this world for the glory of Jesus Christ Having no regard for your own name Embracing risk in order to share the love of Jesus Christ Living from a place of surrender that responds to Jesus in every area of life Cultivating a sense of urgency to share God s word with others The longing for your ultimate home in Heaven A daily dying to self. I encourage you to take stock of your life and embrace the call to risk everything for God s plan. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ you are here to point others to Him. That is your mission. As you focus on eternity you will find yourself naturally concerned with eternal things instead of temporary things. The Bible teaches that a day is coming when the temporary things of this world will pass away. At that moment all that will matter are the eternal things of God. Today I encourage you to begin living with an eternal focus. A day is coming when you will be glad you did Food for thought Can we humans see everything No. There is so much we can t see with our flesh eyes we cannot see into the realm where God is (heavenly spirit realm). All others that have died or have not been born as of yet are there in their spirit bodies. See Ecclesiastes 12 6-7 in a KJV Bible. Our spirits return to Him that gave it. Also everything we see hear and experience fits into Gods plan somehow. That includes everything we cannot see hear or experience in our flesh bodies. In any case keep studying the entire Bible my friends. Reply if you wish regardless of what you choose to believe.
