Minimum of 3 years experience welding pressure vessels or heat exchanger components Moderate knowledge and ability to weld with some but not all of SMAW GMAW GTAW FCAW & SAW thermal processes in the manufacturing of various types of pressure vessels and heat exchangers. Must be able to pass a weld qualification test to acquire code stamp. Ability to read prints for both required specifications as well as dimensions. Ability to weld within the parameters of a WPS PQR Skills in arc gouging process. Ability to consistently maintain less than a 5% X-Ray repair rate. Ability to be efficient at fixing X-Ray and UT repairs.Physical Requirements Must be able to safely lift fifty pounds. Ability to work in a shop environment in all seasons. Ability to safely enter and work productively in confined spaces of an exchanger or vessel.
