Grey box testing

Grey box testing Software testing that combines black box and white box testing techniques is referred to as grey box testing. Its purpose is to evaluate the security and effectiveness of an application. In grey-box testing, the tester does not have full access to the source code but does have some understanding of the core functionality of the application, such as the database schema or algorithmic framework This approach allows testers to build audio test cases with a system that is well-functioning and has potential weaknesses. Grey box testing seeks to simulate attacks and analyse critical mechanisms for security holes, integration problems, and data flow issues. Very helpful in web-based systems where security is important.
