NEW HIGHER PAY 49158 - 86 026 The ChallengeWe re looking for an Environmental Specialist to join our Environmental Analysis Mitigation and Modeling (M& M) team. In this role you will Support environmental assessment applications of Unmanned Aerial Systems (drones). Develop wetland stream and buffer on-site mitigation efforts. Engage in GIS mapping and geodatabase development. Coordinate actions with the NC Division of Mitigation Services. Support mitigation site encroachments by NCDOT or third parties. Manage NCDOT mitigation site transfers to recipient agencies. Support the development and implementation of Project ATLAS. Work independently interacting with engineers project managers and regulatory agencies to collect evaluate analyze and tabulate data for project environmental documents and permits. What You BringKnowledge of the principles of natural environmental science relating to transportation planning and environmental assessments. Knowledge of federal state environmental laws and regulatory requirements - NEPA SEPA Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Act. Experience with Environmental assessment applications of Unmanned Aerial Systems (drones). Experience planning and coordinating work managing project schedules and deliverables and evaluating and reviewing work done by others including consulting firms. GIS mapping and geodatabase development experience. Education & ExperienceBachelor s degree in agricultural biological engineering environmental or natural resource sciences or a closely related curriculum and 2 years of relevant experience or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
