Ahidf: strengthening livestock infra under atma nirbhar

Infrastructure plays a vital role in the holistic development of any country. In India, where the economy is significantly driven by the agriculture sector, the development of supporting infrastructure has become increasingly important. To create more opportunities for enhancing farmers income and to strengthen the Animal Husbandry and Dairying sectors, the need for robust infrastructure is growing rapidly. In response to this, the Government of India has announced the establishment of the Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF) with a total outlay of ₹29, 110.25 crores. This initiative, launched under the Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, aims to support infrastructure development in the sector and will remain in effect up to the financial year 2025–2026, ending on 31st March 2026.
