Mechanical AssemblerPerforms a wide range of skilled repair assembly and cleaning operations to build rebuild both component parts and manufacturing equipment. Must produce quality products in timely manner performs operations according to customer s needs following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications.Produces components by assembling mechanical parts pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment.( Our product ranges from custom pumps and blowers to custom sheet metal air knives and motors used as components in much larger products.)Essential FunctionsPlans Rebuilds and Assemble unique large manufacturing equipment from component parts in accordance with standard operating procedures to customer s specifications Read interpret and follow basic blueprints diagrams engineering drawings specifications bill of materials and other written instructions. Assembly of large industrial equipment with unique requirements from job to job. Use of hand tools magnetic drill grinder and air tools to assemble product. Preparing layout for subassemblies. Determining necessary tooling to be used for each work order and set-up if required. Use of measurement devices such as tape measure caliper micrometer etc. Troubleshooting your own work. Frequently working from an elevated position. Operating a fork truck and all overhead cranes. Entering work order information through terminals in the shop. Following safety guidelines for safe operation of all equipment. Performing other duties as assigned. Must be able to pass a drug test Must be able to multi-task efficiently work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects and have a strong attention for detail. 3-8 years Mechanical Assembly experience Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a team. Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision Ability to lift 50 lbs.
