Position Summary for Mechanical Engineer Boiler Experience.This position is expected to uphold the mission vision and values established by the organization. Enters sales order data information into ERP system Specifies appropriate materials needed for project(s) and communicates those needs via bills of material (BOM) to supply chain and manufacturing departments Performs ASME pressure vessel calculations necessary creating the design for the pressure vessel based on the spec review and these calculations Responsible for specifying the appropriate weld procedures (WPS PQR) for the project Manages the design process through to completion including reviewing drawings both 2-D and 3-D for correctness and accuracy Communicates directly with the customer throughout the process from design to product shipment including any scheduling changes that may impact delivery Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assignedCompetencies of the Mechanical Engineer with Boiler experience Agile Business Acumen Communication Proficiency Written and Verbal Customer Client Focus Leadership Problem Solving Analysis Results Driven Safety Driven Strategic Thinking Technical Capacity Time Management SkillsQualifications of the Mechanical Engineer with Boiler experience BS in Mechanical Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) is highly preferred or ability to sit for P.E. exam within a reasonable timeframe 3-5 years direct Design experience (not maintenance) in Boiler Design using ASME VIII Div. 1 Must have strong understanding of API ASME and Welding codes related to boilers and pressure vessels ASME I III VIII VIIII NBIC welding processes and procedures Working knowledge of NDT inspections and volumetric examination (MT UT RT PT etc.) Computer skills and experience with Compress and Nozzle Pro and familiarity with AutoCAD 2D & 3D (FEA analysis using ANSYS is a plus) Ability to read write and speak in the English languageWork Conditions EnvironmentMajority of work will be performed in an internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Additional environments include but are not limited to meeting with customers or other business contacts both in field locations (work sites) customer offices third party locations and company facilities exposure to standard construction manufacturing and engineering lab conditions. Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit stand walk use hands and fingers to feel and handle reach with arms and hands talk and hear. The employee may be required to bend twist stoop crouch or kneel on an infrequent basis.
