serve as an academic advisor for Honors students from all undergraduate colleges and degree programs and maintain accurate records. Work with Dean to develop K-12 outreach programs and to assist with recruitment activities. Perform administrative duties with respect to the operation of the Honors College office. Assist with special projects and programs as assigned. Position is primarily 8 00-5 00 Monday through Friday but there is an expectation that the individual will be available for special events that occur in the evenings and on weekends. In addition the individual will be expected to travel to off-site locations to facilitate programs. Promotional opportunities may be available through established career development plan. Minimum qualifications Bachelor s degree. 0-2 years in an Honors College or Honors Program Setting. Excellent communication skills needed as well as the ability to provide honors academic advising on a university-wide basis. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Preferred qualifications Master s degree. Honors Program or Honors College Degree or certificate from an institution affiliated with the National Collegiate Honors Council. Four years of experience in an Honors College or Honor Program Setting. Recognition of scholarly quality by election to Phi Kappa Phi or Phi Beta Kappa.
