Postdoctoral Fellow &ndash Physics

The Oklahoma State University high-energy Physics group invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow to work on the ATLAS experiment. Our group currently participates in pixel detector operations b-tagging calibrations boosted object tagging and a variety of physics analyses in the area of top quarks physics and searches for new physics. The group is also involved in the Phase 2 ATLAS Inner Tracker (ITK) upgrade work focusing on the optimization of the tracker geometry in terms of the b-tagging performance and development of the pixel detector powering system. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in physics by the date of appointment. The candidate is expected to play a leading role in analysis of Run 2 data actively contribute to the Phase 2 ITK upgrade and be able to mentor graduate students in the group. The position is expected to involve frequent travel to CERN or residency at CERN.
