Quality Engineer ISO 9000 TQM SPC Plastic Injection - Akron OH - JOB 18-00052 Salary Range Commensurate - Permanent Position with Benefits.Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply. A local mold manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer who will be responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of the company s quality system to assure that all products manufactured meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels. REQUIREMENTSBachelors or Associates degree in Quality Engineering or another related field. Minitab as well as Lean or Six Sigma certification is strongly preferred Must have six years experience in quality assurance engineering or supervision in an injection molding operation with direct responsibility for overall quality engineering. Must have 1 year of experience in an ISO regulated environment. Must have 4 years experience in a quality engineering role. Microsoft Word Excel Outlook and Power Point are required. Qualified candidates will have a thorough knowledge of quality assurance procedures operations equipment and methods including statistical analysis precision measurement industrial practices statistical process control (S.P.C.) total quality management (T.Q.M.) DOE and ISO 9000. Must be able to read micrometers and blueprints. Qualification of new and revised product assisting in the developing of methods and written policies for quality assurance. Work with the manufacturing staff on procedures dealing with customers-discussing and resolving quality problems as well as complaints. Make suggestions to improve quality assisting in developing overall ISO and T.Q.M. standards and procedures assist in developing and maintaining a supplier quality index utilizing ISO and S.P.C. recommending and developing test methods procedures revising and updating the quality assurance manual preparing all necessary reports as required by customers and staff recommending and developing quality training.
