Quality Control Inspector (Electrical Equipment)

This position will be responsible for ensuring company products meet the quality standards. This position will conduct routine and rigorous quality control audits of each machine during the assembly testing and final inspection phases of operation to ensure the criteria set forth is achieved. Responsibilities - Perform in-process quality checks (wires bolts clamps craftsmanship workmanship etc.) as required. - Identify document and report on deficiencies in existing electrical or mechanical assembly performed and work with team members in recommending solutions for remediation of the deficient work in a timely manner. - Provide immediate feedback of deficiencies discovered through the use of appropriate documents and records. - Manage workflow to meet daily production requirements. - Conducts through inspection of generators to ensure quality and good operation. - Assist in developing and maintaining standards policies and procedures related to quality control. - Communicate assembly and quality issues to Production Manager in a timely manner. - Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized assigned work area. - Ensure housekeeping and safety practices are followed and maintained. - Assist moving placing generators for testing. Driving forklift truck as needed. - Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands - Ability to stand throughout an 8 hour day shift. - Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. - Hand finger dexterity to grasp and manipulate small parts and tools. - Must use hands for repetitive simple grasping pushing pulling and fine manipulation. - Must be able to occasionally bend squat and climb including the ability to ascend and descend ladders. Requirements - High School Diploma or GED. Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related degree or experience preferred. - Must have 2- 3 years of related experience. - Electrical experience preferred - Proficient in using a Multi-meter to check voltage & continuity of components. - Proficient in reading & understanding of wiring diagrams preferred. - Ability to inspect and perform tests of generators. - Knowledge of fundamentals of electricity basic generators operations preferred. - Forklift experience preferred but not required. - Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills - Must have excellent organizational and prioritization skills - Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver s license. - Must be punctual responsible and reliable. - Must be able to write & read English. - Must have good hand-eye coordination and be able to work with small parts. - Must be able to work overtime as required. - Experience working in a fast pace environment. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. - Must be able to pass background check and physical and drug screen.
