Family Services Tech

CEEN Early Head Start is hiring a Part Time Family Service Tech. The Position will be filled by March 2018 and will start immediately. This positions recruits supports and assists families as they identify and meet their own goals through a center-based family-oriented case management model for developing and carrying out the program Family Partnership Agreements. Responsible for all children s files enrollment applications. Must be able to maintain complete current and accurate paperwork in each child s central file and proficiently utilize database software.20-25 hrs wk (Monday Friday 12 00pm -5 30pm) non-exempt 40 - 42 weeks per program year Pay 15.89 hr. Requirements High School Diploma or GED Two years of verified experience in Social Work or Human Services or a related human services field. Must be able to complete Family Development Credential within 2 years of hire. Must be proficient in data entry. Bilingual preferred. ResponsibilitiesProvides each participating family a family needs assessment that includes consultation with such parents about the benefits of parent involvement and about the activities in which parents may choose to participate. Refers families to opportunities for continuing education employment training and other employment services through formal or informal networks in the community. Develops a working knowledge of community resources by visiting major community agencies Assists with child health screenings educational screenings and developmental screenings and child assessments. Assists with parent education and other appropriate intervention including opportunities for families to participate in counseling or to receive information on mental health substance abuse child abuse and neglect and domestic violence.
