Innovative Schools currently operates three divisions School Design Division Innovative Schools uses its national network of advisors and partnerships to identify the most innovative school models across the country that demonstrate strong academic outcomes and have a strong infrastructure for replication. School Solutions Division Innovative Schools currently offers a comprehensive and coordinated approach to school support offering a menu of options to public schools finance technology curricular and teacher staffing & retention support. School Leadership Division - The Delaware Leadership Project (DLP) modeled after the highly successful New York City Leadership Academy represents the only alternative route to Principal certification in Delaware. OVERVIEW As a member of the Solutions Team the Director of Talent Management will lead the human resources strategy for the organization. They will serve as a thought leader coach and mentor on all issues related to human capital. The Director of Talent Management will have responsibility for recruitment selection and retention for internal positions at Innovative Schools for the client schools (both district and charter) and for the Delaware Leadership Project. AREAS OF MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE Recruitment C Manage and lead the recruitment team to meet and exceed placement goals and deadlines C Implement innovative competitive and cost-effective strategies for recruiting and selecting diverse high-quality talent and Use data to inform best practices for the application and selection processes while ensuring that candidates have a consistent positive experience. Selection C Work with the LEA to develop competencies define the selection process create the application and interview questions and develop a timeline and C Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to align human capital strategy with growth targets including recruitment goals succession planning and career-path development. Retention C Collect information and documents for the administration of the Instructional Culture Insight Survey and communicate with the Insight Team at TNTP to ensure smooth survey administration and Debrief survey results with leadership teams at partner schools and set survey-based improvement goals to be incorporated into their annual coaching plans. Team Management C Manage a staff of two pre-screeners and one phone selector and hire additional consultants for these roles as needed. Executive Leadership and Management Coaching C Serve as the primary strategist designer and implementer of best-in-class talent recruitment and retention systems and processes C Mentor and coach leaders to develop their skills as effective leaders and people managers and C Set high expectations for accountability and delivering targeted candid feedback to direct reports in order to drive top performance across the network and schools. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS C Bachelor s degree required C Minimum 10 years professional experience with 3 or more years in Human Resources or a related function C Extensive understanding of people management with the ability to coach and mentor direct reports peers and executives on sound talent management practices C Evidence of success in a leadership position including the ability to encourage motivate manage conflict team-build mentor coach set goals prioritize and plan C Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop solid relationships with a variety of stakeholders and effectively communicate tough messages to diverse audiences C Proven ability to hire develop and retain high-performing teams C Strong strategic-thinking skills with the ability to develop long-term plans and execute against goals C Excellent verbal and written communication skills and C C Previous experience in a fast-paced rapidly growing entrepreneurial organization.
