The temperature is hot and humid outside during the summer months. Regular dependable attendance is an essential function of this position.Operate all Grounds Maintenance logistic equipment (forklift roll off truck street sweeper front-end loader farm tractor golf-cart high lift etc.) Maintain grounds ensure site is free from fruit litter and debris Monitor and empty 50 gallon trash containers and empty dumpsters into appropriate receptacles Ensure separation of trash scrap wood and scrap metal into appropriate containers and discarded appropriately Notify appropriate personnel when contracted haulers trash containers and scrap metal containers are full Operate trash compactors to maximum usage Inspect and drain rainwater from secondary containment areas (as needed) Support production and service departments (as needed) High School diploma or GED required. The worker is required to wear safety glasses and hearing protection in the performance of this work. Must maintain current licenses as needed for all equipment operated Must have valid Class A CDL Ability to lift pull and or push up to 60 pounds Ability to walk long distances while using lawn equipment Ability to climb and descend stairs Familiar with and able to use assorted hand tools (i.e. drills hammers screw drivers shovels rakes etc. for assorted tasks) Able to patch repair potholes with asphalt Possess basic problem solving skills High School diploma or GED required. The worker is also required to work in the trailers of refrigerated trucks where the temperature is cold. The worker is required to wear safety glasses and hearing protection in the performance of this work.
