Responsible to conduct field and or laboratory testing sampling and or inspection services in accordance with TxDOT ASTM ACI and or AASHTO industry standards. Contacts dispatcher coordinator for priorities and deadlines both in the field and laboratory meets with contractor s supervisors architect s representatives or other project leaders on project sites to discuss and coordinate testing sampling or inspection of construction materials and or construction procedures submits accurate legible comprehensive and complete inspection testing reports on a daily basis performs routine and scheduled maintenance and calibration of equipment and maintains proper documentation of maintenance and calibration other duties as assigned by Direct Report. High school or GED certification completion of Troxler Manufacturing or equal radiation safety course to utilize nuclear gauges. TxDOT 1A or 1B or higher certifications. ACI or other industry standard certifications or ability to obtain within six months of employment minimum of five years of applicable experience possess valid Texas driver s license and meet company s auto insurability requirements utilize hand tools such as sledge hammers shovels and picks oral and written skills to communicate problems status of work daily reports etc. math skills to compute and analyze sample results heavy lifting 45 lbs. Must pass a drug test prior to employment and will be subject to post-accident random and reasonable cause testing during employment.
