Hello my name is Lecia Bromley with SDA Elderly Care. SDAEC is a referral service for the elderly disabled and veterans. Under our Phase I shared housing project our seniors only pay 600.00 monthly to include utilities. Most of our clients are under fixed incomes or government subsidy and only receive about 740.00 - 1 200.00 monthly. Our rooms are ready for immediate placement. Our phase II project provides the elderly with options that allow them to live independently but in an environment that provides support activities such as cleaning cooking transportation etc. for 800.00 monthly. The program is similar to Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities (Section 811). We intend to use fully appointed pool homes only. There are usually a number of 6 or 7 bedroom homes in the Davenport-Kissimmee-Four Corners area that are available Seniors will rent rooms in these houses for a base price of 800 per month. Our providers provide a well-kept clean home hot breakfast and dinner for no additional cost. In addition cable or satellite TV services will be provided in each room and there will be a big screen television in each home in addition to an in-room television and WIFI for each rental home. All laundry will be done and beds will be made and rooms will be cleaned weekly. However they will not provide any assistance regarding taking of medicines as they are not an assisted living facility. Residents requiring additional living services such as help with bathing dressing eating etc. must be moved to an assisted living facility. Residents will have access to washer and dryer in the home and we will provide clean sheets towels soap toilet paper paper towels laundry detergent and other cleaning items and supplies for no additional charge. Each home will have a long term resident who will be an employee or associate who will live on the property. Residents may use the kitchen but must clean all dishes pots and pans utensils the stove and any other item used in the kitchen so that other guests may use them. The resident manager will primarily be responsible for preparing meals but the kitchen may be used by residents by request or by prearranged schedule if they want to cook their own meals. We expect to house between 7 and 9 residents per home. Currently we project that we will be able to manage 3 such homes in 2018. Under our Phase III subsidized housing we provide a statewide subsidized housing listings to our clients residing in the shared housing program. Our seniors are able to choose from any of the three options provided.
