This truck is an A series built in 1958 but since International trucks were titled based on the year they were SOLD not the year they were MANUFACTURED This truck is titled as a 1959 as it was sold in 1959. The story of this truck is quite unique as it was originally bought by an International dealer for his personal use It was ordered with the deluxe Custom trim which includes extra bright work and two-tone paint scheme as seen in the pictures. It was in the same family in Northern California for 53 years. The truck was sold to a relative with the understanding it would remain in the family but unfortunately it was sold there after. The truck made its way from Northern California to Florida then to Missouri were it resides today. The current owner has had it meticulously repainted in the original color combination of Turquoise and Whitecap white. New 16 WWW tires are mounted on the original 16 special order stock steel wheels adorned with correct IH hubcaps. MECANICAL -- rebuilt original Black Diamond 240 cid inline 6-cylinder engine runs and performs flawlessly with no smoke knock or ticks. Starts first time every time Original 3-speed column-shifted transmission shifts smoththly between gears and the clutch operates nicely. The brakes stop the truck with straight confidence. Upon turning 100 000 on the odometer the original owner had major mechanical components professionally rebuilt including the engine transmission clutch brakes and all front end components. The current millage is 123 621. COSMETICS -- professionally repainted in the original turquois and Whitecap white color combination. The truck was rust free before painting and has been meticuously maintained from day one. The interior features a newly rephoistered original beach seat covered in factory-correct material. A reproduction floor mat covers solid original steel floor panels. The dash paint is the original gactory application. The truck still sports the dealer installed utlity bumper manufactured by Barden Bumpers. OPERATIONAL FUNCTIONALITY -- driving this truck is a true nostlgia trip back in time as this truck performs and handels as you might expect...powerful easy steering and handling. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- the truck comes with the original line sheet (build sheet) oerators manual dealer sales brochures original keys (altough new keys are included for everyday use) and full history provided by the son of the original owner. The firewall under hood and inter- fenders stilll have the original factory paint. The value of this truck is much higher than the asking price. I ll be sad to see it go but I have new project and need the room. This truck has never been stored outside and although I can t predict its future as long as I have it it will be stored inside.
