Job Function Direct the administration and coordination of the District s facilities operations. Provide staff leadership to ensure understanding and promotion of the District. Act as a leader in fostering professional growth and staff morale throughout the District. Plan direct organize coordinate implement monitor and manage programs policies and procedures for the following departments areas facilities maintenance and operations safety and security. Inspect all school buildings grounds and installations on a regular basis to determine that high standards of workmanship cleanliness safety and security are maintained. Hire train direct evaluate mentor and develop subordinate personnel in all areas of responsibility. Ensure compliance with all local state and federal regulations and licensing in regard to fire codes health department regulations permits hazardous materials licenses asbestos and assist the designated ADA official with regard to providing a barrier-free environment for students and employees. Assume responsibility for budget development and long-range facilities planning. Develop manage and monitor budgets in all areas of control including analysis of budget expenditures and recommendations for on-going operations effectiveness ensuring fiscal integrity and compliance. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key district staff government agencies school districts community groups and others to support and further District initiatives and goals. Prepare and deliver reports related to program effectiveness and monitoring to the Director of HR. As necessary recommend new policies or revisions to existing policies as conditions change. Ensure District compliance with Colorado and Federal laws and reporting requirements. Qualifications - Minimum five years director level experience in facilities operations public education or related field. - Possess a Bacherlor s Degree or higher. - Minimum three years experience in maintenance of institutional buildings and equipment. - Strong oral and written communication skills.
