Mortgage Loan Processor

Summary Loan Processor provides professional support services to Loan Officer by assembling a completely documented residential mortgage loan file in preparation for submission of the file to the underwriting department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reviews residential loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets establishment standards including type and amount of mortgage borrower assets liabilities and length of employment. Set up loan file in system Serve as a liaison between the customer loan officer and underwriter Obtain needed documentation via credit reports appraisals and related information Review of all files to ensure RESPA compliance Order title work and review for accuracy and address any discrepancies Submits loan file for underwriting approval Maintain pipeline of loan files submitted for processing approved and PTF conditions Disclaimer Job description is not a complete list of duties. The Loan Processor must be self -sufficient and show the initiative to self -educate in industry products and program guidelines. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications 5 years current Loan Processing Jr. Processing or Loan Set up experience Experience in the mortgage industry preferred Ability to deliver effective results Reliable transportation valid driver s license and current automotive insurance Sound judgment and decision making skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision Excellent service skills Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent Knowledge of Freddie Mac Fannie Mae and FHA VA guidelines Knowledge of general federal and state mandated consumer disclosure requirements Familiarity with automated underwriting technology i.e. Fannie Mae Desktop Underwriter and Freddie mac Loan Prospector Proficient in data entry and management Language Skills Ability to speak read and write in the English language Fluency is other languages preferred Articulate speaker with good interpersonal skills Key Competencies Organizing and prioritizing Attention to detail and accuracy Confidentiality Judgment Good verbal and written communication skills Problem analysis and problem solving skills Ability to meet deadlines Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
