Sentinel Data Centers LLC Job Description Title Painter Location Somerset NJ Reply To lclinton(at)sentineldatacenters.com Sentinel Data Centers is seeking an experienced Painter to join our staff at its 400 000 square foot NJ-1 enterprise collocation facility. This individual will primarily be responsible for mixing matching and applying paint to various surfaces completing touchups and coordinating large painting projects. Additional responsibilities to include minor repair of concrete drywall wood. Responsibilities Apply paint to surfaces including concrete walls floors doors etc in accordance with manufacturer s recommendations. Mix match and apply paint varnish shellac enamel and other finishes. Scrape sandpaper prime or seal surfaces prior to painting. Clean walls to ensure proper adherence. Tape off areas and cover surfaces and equipment with cloth or plastic to ensure protection. Calculate amounts of required materials estimate costs and negotiate pricing. Fill cracks holes and joints with caulk putty plaster or other fillers. Erect scaffolding movable and immovable staging and various rigging to gain access to difficult areas move furniture and equipment as necessary. Work on ladders and or lifts to reach high ceilings or walls. Remove fixtures such as pictures doorknobs electric switch covers etc prior to painting. Apply touchups and second coats as required. Remove paint splatters when finished. Clean up all equipment including brushes and spray guns. Work with materials such as wood plastic concrete and drywall Utilize chisels planes saws drills sanders etc to repair and erect structures Utilize levels rules plumb bobs framing squares etc to ensure everything is level Join materials with nails screws staples or adhesives Minimum Qualifications Five (5) years of painting experience.
