Edgemar Center for the Arts a two-theatre and art gallery complex in Santa Monica is pleased to announce the return of an event that will inspire and connect Defining Moments An Evening of Storytelling with Elders from our Community. The stranger who tells our stories not only awakens our spirits and hearts but also shows our humanity. - Mende Proverb Sierra Leone Join us on September 12th at 7 30 p.m. for an evening of compassionate listening and witness one of our most precious natural resources tell it like it is. Elders from throughout the Los Angeles area will share their personal histories and participate in a question and answer session followed by a reception in the Edgemar Center s lovely gallery space. Admission is free but donations are greatly appreciated. Please help us continue to provide a forum in which our community can connect with its elders while experiencing the vivid and powerful art of live story telling. RSVP is required.
