Wastewater Collections Systems Instructor

POSITION GOALS Provide instruction to adult non-credit students utilizing an approved training curriculum and materials in accordance with the State of NJ Department of Environmental Protection. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1) Possession of a valid NJDEP level Four (4) license in the field being taught OR 2) Possession of a valid NJ Professional Engineer s license OR a Masters in Environmental Related Sciences AND experience commensurate with related licensing requirements of a level Four (4) license in the field being taught. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Plan prepare and deliver approved curriculum on a daily basis. Evaluate and assist in the resolution of student concerns. Prepare lesson plans. Track student grades and attendance. Lead inspire and motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of their educational process. Maintain expertise in the subject area. Provide regular accurate and timely feedback to students and the school concerning academics behavior attendance etc. Instructors should enjoy working with people to help develop them into quality wastewater technicians. Instructors provide assessment of students through applicable monitoring and reporting processes. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICANTS This is a part-time eight-month non-affiliated position. The Wastewater Collections Systems program runs from September through April. This position requires constant mobility throughout the school. Employee must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
