One of our Government Client is looking for IT Project Manager (GIS Clarity Land Management Exp.) Location Ottawa ON Duration 24 Months with possible extension Purpose Background Seeking the services of an experienced Project Manager (PM) to procure and implement a Land Management Solution. The PM will work with Stakeholder departments and groups to gather business client information data financial and technical requirements. The PM will work with Supply Management (Procurement) to develop and issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) ultimately resulting in the award of a contract to the most successful bidder. The PM will be directly responsible to organize plan monitor and deliver the expected objectives scope and deliverables of this enterprise class solution The Land Management Solution is to transform the PGM business to bring services online for clients specifically the PGM planning applications construction and related permits encroachments permits and Committee of Adjustment applications. The solution shall consider the overall workflow and operational efficiency for processing managing and reporting on applications and permits over their lifecycle. To allow clients to submit applications and documents online. To enable clients to have access to their files and be able to monitor progress. To better enable Staff to manage track and collaborate on files. To operate with electronic copies reducing volume of paper and increasing the efficiency of the distribution and circulation. To provide mobile Staff s ability to work in the field managing field inspections orders and enforcement. To introduce new functions and capabilities for PGM including the flexibility to change and grow with the business needs. Responsibilities Responsible and accountable for coordinating and managing the activities of a project team comprised of resources from City Departments Branches external contractors and vendors. Establish a close working relationship partnership with departmental stakeholders Business Leads Steering Committee and Working Group members who are responsible for the overall success of the project. Successful delivery of the Land Management project through the following activities Facilitates the communication between the Steering committee Working Group and the project teams Develops the overall program plan including key business and project milestones Identifies secures and manages project team resources including the procurement of external resources through available procurement vehicles Ensures that all projects are managed in accordance to PLC standards established and using tools (e.g. Clarity PPM) and project stakeholders Deliverables are to be produced for the project Project Scope Charter Project Management Plans (Resource Financial Deliverables Quality etc.) Task Level Project Schedule Project Status Report Project Budget Tracking Actions Issues and Risk Logs. Change Management Strategies & Plans.(including requisite sub-deliverables including communication plans training plans etc.) MUST HAVES Minimum seven (7) years of program management on complex programs with multiple concurrent projects Minimum ten (10) years project management experience including a minimum of five (5) years managing and implementing IT projects Demonstrated experience in the last five (5) years performing program management duties on complex multi-year programs in which the delivery included a large business transformation component.
