Jeremiah - Male Boxer

Cutie Patootie Jeremiah is finally ready for his forever or foster home. He came to WCBR from Tulare County Animal Shelter with a prolapsed penis about 6 months ago. Jeremiah had lots of folks interested in adopting but we couldn t adopt him to a family until this issue was resolved. Essentially Jeremiah s penis was not retracting and stuck out quite a bit. Not only is this not appealing it is also not healthy. It had to be fixed. We tried the traditional surgery that we have used successfully on previous dogs with this problem but it did not work for Jeremiah. It took 6 surgeries and 6 months but Jeremiah is finally ready. He looks like boy and pees like a boy. His internal plumbing is a little different. Jeremiah is only about 1.5 yrs old and is small male weighing only 53 lbs. It was very frustrating for this high energy puppy to spend most of the last 6 months being confined with the cone of shame . He definitely wants to make up that lost time Jeremiah is a typical young boxer that has had no training. He is learning to walk nicely on a leash and knows the sit command. But he still likes to jump play with his leash...puppy stuff. Jeremiah would be best in an active family with older children or teenagers. He is a sweet boy not a mean bone in this wiggly body but he would knock young kids over. He loves other dogs but has no manners. He would be best with a confident and calm female.
