Lexington Senior Center located at 108 Park Rd. in Lexington SC is hosting the AARP driver safety on Friday October 18th from 9 am- 3 30 pm. AARP Driver Safety s classroom course is administered by volunteers and covers topics such as defensive driving techniques new traffic laws and rules of the road. Participants will learn how to operate their vehicle more safely in today s increasingly challenging driving environment as well as how to make adjustments to accommodate common age-related changes in vision hearing and reaction time. Although the course is geared toward drivers 50 and older it can be taken by licensed drivers of all ages. All licensed drivers are invited to attend for a fee of 12 (for AARP members) and 14 for non- AARP members. The course is taught by S.C. state certified instructors. All who complete the course will be given a certificate to present to their insurance agent for a possible reduction or premium. The certificate is good for three years....
