Technician HVAC Light Heavy Commercial Service & Controls TechniciansLocation 933 Wakefield Dr. Houston TX 77018Status Non-ExemptBenefits Standard Company Benefits PackageEmployment Type Full TimeDepartment Service HVAC Light & Heavy Commercial Service Technician Responsible for preventive maintenance diagnoses and repair of environmental-comfort systems utilizing knowledge of air conditioning theory hydronic theory and modern control techniques. Responsible for inspecting and servicing equipment. Uses a variety of hand tools and laptop computers to diagnose and repair HVAC equipment. Maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear and tear. Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files. Provides training and follow-up training at a customer s site if required. Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need. Provides technical support to customers. Must be able to perform preventive maintenance and repair service on light and or large and commercial air conditioning equipment. Must have the ability to serve the customer safely efficiently and effectively with a positive attitude. Must have experience servicing ancillary equipment unitary water & air cooled centrifugal and screw chillers. Repairing of environmental-comfort systems utilizing knowledge of air conditioning theory electrical diagrams pipe fitting and mechanical layouts. Maintain accurate paperwork Maintain all maintenance logs and safety logs. Building Automation Systems Technician Responsible for preventive maintenance diagnoses and repair of environmental-comfort systems utilizing knowledge of air conditioning theory hydronic theory and modern control techniques. Responsible for servicing products and equipment. Uses a variety of hand tools and laptop computers following blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose repair and program HVAC equipment. Maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear (maladjustment mis-calibration or malfunction). Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files. Provides training and follow-up training at a customer s site. Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need. Provides technical support to customers. End-to-end wiring checks and programming of controllers. Other duties as required. Travel may be required. Qualifications Education and or Experience Required 4 years industry experience valid driver s license with a safe driving record ability to lift 50lbs. ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Must be CFC certified and have valid driver s license. Demonstrated ability to interpret blueprints and or engineering specifications. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Visio and other CAD software. Knowledge of JCI Metasys controls is a plus. General technical competence with computer hardware software and compatibility issues. Knowledge of basic computer programming is an asset. Degree or diploma in a relevant discipline will be considered an asset.
