Lazer Incorporated a graphic arts provider in Winston-Salem NC is currently seeking to add an energetic and talented Production Manager to assist in the coordination of projects related to both print and online audiences. Responsibilities - Initiate quality planning pre-production meetings - Job tracking and scheduling. - Quality Control review of digital and analog deliverables for accuracy and completeness. - Act as the liaison between the Account Services and production teams to manage projects from conception through completion. - Attends client meetings as needed to communicate the client s needs and goals with internal creative and production staff. - Production duties include some or all of photo retouching print web packaging design and prepress. - Works with Management to establish Departmental Standard Operating Procedures - Solves complex problems and analyzes procedures with goal of increasing overall productivity. - Supervision and training of new hires in technical and procedural tasks. Required Skills - Proficient on Mac platform. - Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop and Illustrator). - Comprehensive understanding of print industry standards. - Excellent professional communication skills - written and verbal. - Organized and effective time manager. - Ability to lead several initiatives and projects at the same time. - Able to perform effectively and positively under pressure while meeting tight deadlines. Additional responsibilities - Hire train supervise employees engaged in photography assembly proofing retouching and other prepress activities related to preparation for final print or web use. - Proven ability to perform all prepress activities (excluding photography). - Establish and enforce standards to ensure quality control efficiency and compliance to job specifications. - Manage job schedule and work flow to ensure deadlines are met. - Oversee maintenance and repair of machines equipment and the ability to troubleshoot issues Continually research products and methods to capitalize on advances in technology and ensure industry standards are continuously met. - Interact with client in support of the account service team. Qualifications - Adobe Creative Suite Indesign - Comprehensive understanding of print industry standards EFI Epson Gracol G7 Certifications(s) a plus. - Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent combination of experience and education.
