Salem Ohio plastics manufacturer is seeking several Shift Supervisors (1st shift & 3rd shift) to oversee production set-up and monitor production machinery and production staff. REQUIREMENTSHigh School graduate Associate or trade school is a plus Past experience as a Production Supervisor or Line Leader (preferable in a plastics industry) Organized with exceptional verbal and written communication skills Supervises all production activities performed by employees Maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees throughout the shift focusing day-to-day on the entire shift Maintains department standards for productivity reliability and accuracy Monitors and reports daily production results material usage waste and downtime Reports equipment problems to appropriate department and production manager Coordinates with quality control to maintain quality standards takes appropriate corrective measures to resolve deficiencies Assists manager in forecasting staffing needs to meet peak demands of the business and staff team accordingly trains motivates coaches evaluates performance rewards and disciplines employees being supervised resolves personnel issues Effectively trains machine operators the correct method of running various machines and on machine and shop safety Responsible for informing the Plant Operations Manager of any noteworthy activities that take place during all shifts Experience as a machine operator and or set-up person Resolves production-related issues with representatives from other department throughout the company Manages and execute daily production needs to meet sales and inventory demand Candidates may be required to submit to a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
