Antebellum Bloodstone Pinky Ring From Virginia

This was a tradition here in Virginia for the well to do familys to present a bloodstone upon the birth of a daughter. This disappeared after the Civil War. This is an unmarked size three Pinky ring with heart shaped blood stone. It is probably coin silver but they did not mark things back then. It is in beautiful condition and few survive today.
