TELESCOPE - Nautical - Early 1900s Quartermaster 24X - Leather

I am offering an original (not a reproduction) English Single Draw 24 Power Quartermaster s Telescope. Spyglasses of this type were designed and built to be used by the quartermaster detailed to steer the ship. Based on the design the materials used and the good quality it was likely built during the early 1900s in England. The scope measures 24 closed and 34 fully extended (including the 4 Sunshade and 7 Draw Tube) and has a 2 aperture (object end). It appears that the entire scope is made of brass and the tapered main tube appears to have its original leather cover which has the typical cracks and gouges. The draw tube is signed C. ROBERTSON who was probably an owner with a Scottish ancestry. Its 20 to 24 power view is reasonably clear and the overall cosmetic condition is good (no major damage) but it does show wear and tear from many years of sea duty. This nautical artifact is a rare piece of International maritime history. Additional Nautical Items Available - Please Call Cliff (at) 760-809-5720 For More Information.
