DETROIT YOUTH REPORT S Detroit LIFE Coalition Presents Detroit s 4 Pillars for a Sustainable School System Meeting Adams Butzel Recreation Center 10500 Lyndon St Detroit MI 48238 Saturday June 14 2014 11 00am-1 00pm The 4 pillars of Sustainable School Success focus on A strong focus on school culture curriculum and staffing Wrap-around supports for every child Real collaboration with the community to ensure local ownership and accountability. Implement research-based instructional and educational reforms Guests will discuss strategy implementation plans in the Metro-Detroit area of the 4 Pillars for a Sustainable School System. In addition guest will be informed that the 4 Pillars for a Sustainable School System is part of a national campaign lead by the Journey for Justice Alliance. The Detroit LIFE Coalition is a program of the Detroit Youth Report (DYR). The Detroit LIFE Coalition is the youth empowerment program of the DYR and both are part of a national alliance of community based and youth organizations dedicated to addressing the lack of investment in young people s success on a local state and federal level.
