We are looking for a motivated self-starter and organized biller and coder for our company. This individual needs to have 1 year previous medical experience in billing and coding. Please respond with your resume with a cover letter regarding this position ONLY if you DO have experience in the followingDuties Include -Data entry of billing codes-Electronic submission of batches daily-Performing collections procedures under direct supervision of manager-Working denials from insurance companies in a timely manner-Data entry of patient demographics and insurance information-Collection of co-pay and deductible and new patient intake-Payment postingMinimum Qualifications -Must have a clear understanding of ICD-9 HCPCS codes EOBs and denials-Must be able to follow up and investigate billing errors-Must have excellent communication skills-Should be able to handle data entry-Outstanding insurance collections skills with strong knowledge and ability to collect in a timely manner and at a reasonable pace-Knowledge of HMO PPO Private Insurances Managed Care Medicare and Medicaid-Computer skills including medical billing systems and Microsoft Office Software Please email resume to epmilmed1(at)gmail.com
