TERMINAL SUPERVISOR

A Major Regional Distribution Services Company has an opening for a Supervisor to direct the operations of one of its major distribution centers in Denton Texas Duties include but are not limited to the following Motivate counsel document or discipline personnel in a positive professional manner. Assign drivers to routes and schedules which allow 100% service and delivery performance with customer Create and maintain an environment where Safety becomes a part of the Drivers daily life. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to customers drivers and other employees. Communicate with Customer Service personnel on customer issues such as late deliveries damaged product or other problems that may occur. Supervise drivers and tractors on a daily basis providing the system with accurate information concerning driver s availability hours of service gasoline usage mileage billing information and any other information. Computer experience is essential as is the ability to efficiently operate in a computerized environment. Demonstrate organizational and memory skills to effectively handle multiple priorities with short deadlines. The ability to recognize and solve problems as they occur without waiting for others to identify issues. Strong analytical and problem solving ability is a necessity. Understand monitor and assist driver to be in compliance with DOT regulations. Understand applicable state and federal laws. Supervise Drivers ensuring DOT and Safety Department regulatory compliance of all dispatch. You will focus on supervising functions and counseling mentoring employees.
