Do you enjoy being a leader Are you looking to take the next step in your career We are seeking someone who is not only a strong contracts manager but who also has a demonstrated capacity developing strong relationships with Government and Industry contracting officials at the Contracting Officer and Team Chief levels. This position supports our largest Sector which provides systems engineering systems integration and other professional services to Intelligence Community (IC) USAF and NASA customers. We have very aggressive growth plans and this position will be a major contributor in helping our Space Systems Sector to achieve its goals. Strong customer relationships (including demonstrated ability to visit on a regular basis) The ability to teach your staff to become equally adept with customer intimacy Developing solid working relationships with senior Line staff including the Sector s Senior Vice President and his senior leadership team that include this team developing strong respect for your contractual advice and guidance Providing effective mentoring to your staff including having difficult conversations when necessary Developing clear objective professional development plans for your staff Sharing ideas and recommendations with your Contracts and Supply Chain peers Contributing to the development of capture and proposal strategy Overseeing the development of effective cost offer and organizational conflict of interest (OCI) volumes Mentoring contracts staff on effective contract administration practices and working with the Sector s Subcontracts Manager to accomplish these goals for the subcontract administrators Participating in color team reviews of proposals developed by both your and other Sectors Volunteering to lead tiger teams to help our Contracts and Supply Chain organization become more efficient and effective Demonstrating an ability to think creatively and strive for innovative solutions Will be a working Manager and as such will carry a reduced prime contracts workloadQualifications Bachelor s Degree strongly preferred but applicable experience in lieu of a degree will be considered At least 10 years experience with 3-5 years of direct supervisory experience Experience managing both prime contract and subcontract staff Strong experience developing business proposals with experience developing OCI volumes desirable Solid knowledge of the FAR and DFAR regulations Knowledge of IC regulations highly desirable.
