Therapeutic Foster CareSchedule Monday Friday 8 30am-4 30pm with occasional evenings and on-call Status Full Time (37.5 Hours)Nature Of Work The Family Counselor Family Specialist is the key staff support person for the Resource Parents Youth and Parents Guardians. All case work services to these individuals are centralized and coordinated through this position in collaboration with the local district of social services. This position provides family counseling and support to all program youth s Parents Guardians Permanency Resources and or Prospective Adoptive Resources. This position also coordinates rehabilitative services and youth and family advocacy in order to assist the youth family in meeting their permanency goal. Minimum Qualifications A Master s Degree in Social Work Psychology Special Education or related human service field is preferred. A minimum of one year experience providing services to children with serious emotional disturbances and their families is required. Professional licensure is preferred. A Bachelor s degree is the minimum requirement. Experience may substitute for field of study but not for minimum degree requirement.
